In recent years the regulations on burglar alarm systems have significantly changed. Depending on your business type your insurance company may request you to have either a grade 2 or grade 3 system.
Both grade 2 and grade 3 systems have to be installed with conformation detection, meaning the ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre) will only contact the police once the system has confirmed it is not a false alarm.
To achieve this 2 different types of security devices have to be tripped within a certain amount of time. For example, on the main door to a building we’d maybe have a door contact, then inside the premises have a PIR detector covering the area just after the same door. If an intruder breaks through the door then steps inside, first the door contact gets him and then the PIR gets him and that is then classed as a confirmed alarm.
When we install an alarm system the last thing we want is any problems. For this reason DSM Security will only install equipment from leading manufacturers in the security industry such as Honeywell, Pyronix, Castle Care Tech, Yuasa to name a few.
